A downloadable game for Windows

Train is a short point-and-click horror game that takes place entirely in a train in France, in 1959.

History

On Friday, October 23, 1959, Jerome and his friends, students of engineering school, returned home by train for the All Saints' Day holidays. After many discussions, they noticed that the travel was longer than usual, moreover, the train never stoped since the departure. Jerome, with his best friend, Yves, decides to go to see the driver, but the wagon door is blocked, joining the others they will try to find a plan to get out of here and this situation.

Gameplay

The game is a little different point'n'click, when you move the mouse over an interactive thing, a list of actions appears, you have to click on it to clear up the selectable buttons and then choose the action.

The green buttons with an object icon mean that Jerome will use this object once the action is completed.

Those books allow you to save your games.

Although the game includes the use of the mouse, Jerome is controlled with the arrows buttons, the shift key allows you to run, the switches and doors are only interactive when you move towards them.

Great designs, but one awful flaw, no load function in game, for when you make a mistake and want to go back, else must close and launch game again.  What I mean by mistake here is trying to prevent a demise, but its clear now there is no way to save everyone.

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

A very beautiful game! The puzzles were quite challenging but I managed to solve them all... except for the invisible maze in the last vagon before the locomotive. I can't manage to get to the weird candelabra at the end. I suceeded to get 9 blocks from the candelabra at the bottom row but I can't get anywhere else! Am I doing something wrong (do I need to unlock something first?)? I charted the path which worked for me until the very point if you need it:

So, I only got the ending where you leave the train which wasn't very satisfying, thus I tried the other option. Because I'm stuck at the maze part, I can't provide any additional feedback. :-(

From what I played through, I can only recommend the game! The only bigger downside were the chases where the transition from a cutscene to gameplay wasn't clearly visible, so I died everytime a new chase came up. Fortunately, thanks to a lot of places for saving your game it didn't bring you back that much, so the story still remained pretty fluid. :-)

I absolutely love this game! It took me a bit to figure out the puzzles, but i figured it out eventually.
